Precious Promises

View More: are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:4

He has given us precious promises that open the door to His divine nature. We are invited in to take part in Who He is. This is even more wonderful when we realize that these precious promises also allow us to escape the negative effects of the corruption that is in the world. We can live above the world partaking of all that God has to offer: love, joy, peace, a sound mind, health, prosperity. We can experience His Divine Presence, no matter what is going on in the world around us.

We access all of this through renewing our mind to the “precious promises.”

Here are 3 of my favorites:

If you abide in me, and My word abides in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7

Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe you receive them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Our mind is renewed to these precious promises when we saturate our minds with them. It is best done through repetition several times throughout the day. As we saturate our mind with these promises, they come alive for us and produce His divine nature in us. What could be more exciting than that!

Do you have a favorite promise? Feel free to share.

As we continue the Negativity Fast & Positivity Feast, continue to flood your mind each day with God’s thoughts. You can pray this simple prayer:

Dear God, please flood my mind with your thoughts today. In Jesus name, Amen.

Enjoy your day partaking of His divine nature.

  2. I love the idea of a negativity fast!

  3. Saturation with his promises is definitely needed when so much junk is around to easily saturate if we aren’t watchful. Love those promises.

  4. Amen. Flood me, Lord.

  5. Sharon, we sure can beat ourselves up!! I just printed three pages of “Knowing Who I Am IN Christ” scriptures. I intend to read and accept every one of them!

  6. Me too, I love that Negativity fast, positivity feast. One of my favorite promises are John 8:36. Who the son sets free IS free indeed.

  7. I love the book of James. That’s more than a verse, I suppose, but I just love the wisdom and promises I find there :).
