Wrapping Up the Negativity Fast: 42 Declarations

View More: http://rockfordjordanphotography.pass.us/momsblogWhat a fabulous 37 days it has been! Fabulous? Not always in the high feelings of joy that I thrive on, but fabulous in stretching and growing, becoming stronger, and being transformed. Did any of you face a challenge to your beliefs? I had my moments for sure. And those moments went into hours, then days. Over the last three weeks, I have been on a roller coaster ride from high emotions to low emotions. My beliefs were challenged. It was clear to me that the old comfortable way of thinking did not like the new thoughts coming in to take their place. Great news, I persevered and I am stronger. I hope you persevered as well.

I highly encourage you to come up with declarations of your own that will propel you to becoming the person you know God wants you to be.

Here’s a list of the declarations I have mentioned in this series. If you like some of my thoughts, feel free to print a copy and carry them with you so you can speak them out loud when you have alone time throughout your day. For now you may want to skim over them and read the “Wrapping It Up”paragraph. Enjoy your adventure.

9 Favorite Thoughts

We are approaching the halfway mark for our 40 Day Negativity Fast and Positivity Feast sponsored by Steve and Wendy Backlund with Igniting Hope Ministries. Those who have registered with them are receiving daily encouraging emails and those on level 2 also get a short video message every day and a PDF verson of the book Igniting Faith in 40 Days. It is not too late to join us!

My purpose in blogging during this fast is to encourage readers, friends and family to take some simple thoughts and implant them in our minds intentionally. We will be amazed at how God will change our lives as He reveals truth to us and changes our beliefs according to Romans 12:2, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. . .”

During the fast, our goal is to “target negative beliefs based on lies and replace them with positive beliefs based on biblical truth.” These old negative beliefs that have been growing for years, producing fruit we didn’t want in our lives are being uprooted. New seeds are being planted in freshly tilled soil. During these next days, they will be watered and fertilized. Already I can see, in my mind’s eye, seedlings having pushed through the ground on their way to becoming healthy plants producing a harvest of good fruit.

Here are 9 favorite thoughts that I have planted in my mind during this fast. As they are watered and fertilized by thinking and speaking them throughout the day, they are becoming my new beliefs deeply rooted, producing the results that “prove that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” according to Romans 12:2. Most of these are inspired by the Backlunds. Feel free to take any of these as your own.

There is always a solution.

Great ideas are continually coming to me.

I am successful in everything I do.

I always make good decisions.

I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

I am increasingly able to bless and encourage others.

We walk in the favor and blessing of God every day.

We always have plenty of money.

God wants all of His people to prosper.

None of these thoughts could actually be true without God. Everyone of them is based on scripture. “Every good and perfect gift” is from God, and He makes everything possible and makes life the adventure that it is!

Renewing your mind is simply choosing thoughts that promote the new belief. Speak out the truth often enough until hope and joy rise up from your heart. This is when you will know that your mind has been renewed.

God is so good to have made this wonderful truth available to us! He created us for a purpose. Satan’s plan all along has been to deceive us into living in bondage when God’s plan was always for freedom. What an exciting adventure it is to please God by renewing our mind so that we can live the life He planned for us all along.

Please note the favorite thoughts I chose are to replace my own personal bad beliefs that I unknowingly and unintentionally allowed to take root in my subconscious mind. As we all grow, God will reveal other wrong beliefs that we can overcome through the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. I hope you will feel free to share your experience in the comments, and let’s lift each other up in prayer as truth is revealed to us! Blessings to you!
