Thriving emotionally is daring to be happy anyway. We all experience good and bad feelings throughout our lives. Our feelings, can be our best friends. Just as having a temperature lets you know that something is going on in our bodies that needs attention, unhappy feelings point to the fact that something may be wrong in our thinking.
The secret to emotional health is to choose which thoughts to hold and which ones to simply let pass on through. Recognize them for what they are. . . just thoughts. Decide what you will do with them: hold them or let them pass. That decision determines how you feel and will eventually contribute to your overall emotional health.
