You Don’t Have to Be Beaten by the Devil Ever Again!

I discovered gold nuggets in Psalm 91. The first one was “You Don’t Have to Be Sick,” and the second one was “You Don’t Have to Fall.” I am more excited than ever to have discovered the third nugget, “You Don’t Have to Be Beaten by the Devil Ever Again!” because I don’t like to be beaten by anyone! Just look in this verse and see if you find the nugget that I found.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Psalm 91:13

According to this verse, God’s plan is for us to be treading and trampling. It is not His plan for us to be trampled and tread upon. How much treading and trampling have we been doing? Do we just take negative thoughts and let them have their way? Do we accept negative dished out by other people and agree with it, allowing it to work its dangerous web into our belief system? Do we listen to lies from the enemy and feed them by focusing on them. We have the authority to tread upon the lion and adder. This means saying an emphatic, “NO!” to what the enemy is trying to put in our pathway.

Satan and all of his cohorts are the lion and adder. We are told to tread upon them and trample the young lion and the dragon. God tells us to do it, so we should do it! We don’t have to accept anything negative that is offered to us or be affected by it in any way. In fact we should affect “it”. We should change the atmosphere, not allow it to change us. We trample the young lion and the dragon under our feet. We walk in victory. It is God’s plan. We are not  alone in this. Angels are assigned to us all throughout our day, backing up what we declare! We have the authority to stomp on anything we don’t want in our lives and, we have a mighty army on our side. We cannot fail, and we do not have to be beaten by the devil ever again.

angels1These Nuggets Belong To Us:

1. Because you have made the Lord, your habitation, you qualify for a life of no evil and no plague.

2. Angels are continually working to protect you from evil, plagues, and stumbling.

3. You have authority to put all negative under your feet by choosing to tread and trample on the enemy.

You are going to live a life of safety, health and victory because you have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most high, thy habitation. Start right now by believing that God’s plan for you is no evil, and no plague.

Great Blessings Belong to Those Who Trust in God!

You Don’t Have to Fall!

While meditating on Psalm 91:11,12, I found three major truths that  have enhanced my life. The first nugget I found in this goldmine is, “You don’t have to be sick!” Here’s the second one. I found  it in Psalm 91: 11, 12: “You don’t have to fall!”

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Psalm 91:11,12

angels2God has given His angels the responsibility to keep us on the right path, to keep us safe, prosperous, healthy, and happy, and to keep us from falling. (That’s all our ways.) They rescue us if we physically fall, and they rescue us when we are about to stumble spiritually as well. I can picture an angel coming in so swiftly like a streak of light and picking us up, setting us back down so that we do not stumble or get hurt in any way. It happens so fast that we don’t even know it happened!

We have no idea how many tragedies or incidents have been averted by angels doing their job.

I can hear an angel say, “We do this all the time.” There are thousands and thousands of instances in a day when angels affect outcomes.

A day without angels on duty could turn out very different indeed.

Have you had an experience when you recognized angelic intervention in your life? Let’s be aware today that there is angelic intervention whether we know it or not. I don’t know about you, but I’m thankful for it, and I’m going to be on the lookout, just in case I can get a glimpse!

Have an amazing day! Watch for it!

Goldmine Discovered: You Don’t Have to Be Sick!

goldmineI found a goldmine! No, I’m not in California or Alaska. I found it in Psalm 91! After panning for the gold in this psalm for  ten days, I extracted three nuggets that are so rich that my life has been powerfully impacted. Now that I know the truths in these verses, I can live more victoriously than ever and so can you. An unusual phenomena about finding nuggets of gold in the scripture is that when you tell others about the mine you have discovered, it is never depleted. There is plenty for everyone. Get your pan and see what you can find for yourself! Here’s what I’ve found in Psalm 91: 9-13.

It will take at least three articles to describe the nuggets I have found, but here’s the first one: We don’t have to be sick!

Psalm 91: 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

goldmine2Did I read that correctly? The Lord is my refuge, the One I run to for safety and peace. Psalm 91:9 states that because you have given the Lord first place in your life, and you have made Him your habitation, nothing evil is going to touch you and the plague (sickness) isn’t going to come near you. That is an amazing truth! It is stated as a fact in God’s word. It is simply the way things are in His Kingdom.  I tripped over this nugget for a long time because we often have evil and sickness in our lives. I found out that evil and sickness are not God’s plan for us! That makes all the difference in the world. According to this verse, (read it again, if you didn’t see it) the plan of God is for us to be free from evil and sickness.  If it isn’t His plan for us, we don’t have to have it!

Why are we having evil and sickness in our lives if it is not His plan for us? Perhaps in the past you thought you didn’t qualify or didn’t deserve a life free  from evil and sickness. The truth is  you do qualify because you made the decision to put God first in your life. If you have made Him your habitation, as verse 9 says, you qualify for what comes next. No evil shall befall you, neither shall any plague come nigh your dwelling. If we are not experiencing that, it may be only because we don’t fully believe it and rest in it yet. We could be embracing a lie that we don’t deserve it or qualify. I know it sounds impossible; it sounds too good to be true. The Word of God says it plainly here, so what we want to do is embrace this nugget, this truth, hold it closely to our heart, believe and receive it. You don’t have to be sick!

I hope you have gotten something you can think about through reading this. Please join the discussion. I know there can be some disagreement among Christians in thinking like this, and you are welcome to respectfully disagree in love. I am wide open to greater understanding of the truth in God’s Word. I think we can so easily miss what is there by our own habitual way of thinking. He doesn’t mind our questions, and He has all of the answers.

30 Confessions You Can Use Every Day from Psalm 91

psalm91-1130 Confessions You Can Use Every Day From Psalm 91

Here’s how I’m going to do it: I will take one a day, as the Lord leads, and either mentally roll it over in my mind, or say it out loud ten times every time I think of it, with a goal of 100 times (10 x 10). As an alternative method, I will set a timer for 2 or 3 minutes and meditate it through repetition. I know this will ingrain it indelibly on my spirit, and there will be greater revelation and transformation. I’ve experienced it before! I invite you to try it and let me know how it goes.

  1. I will dwell in the secret place of the most High.
  2. I will abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
  3. Lord, you are my refuge.
  4. You are my fortress
  5. You are my God; in You I will trust.
  6. You deliver me.

Under His Wings

Psalm_91_3If you have ever wakened in the night with terror in your heart, paralyzed with fear, and overcome with the very presence of darkness, then what you are about to read will help you. If you have ever walked with a vague sense that something bad was going to happen, or if you have been plagued with an uneasiness you could not explain, then what you are about to read will help you. If you have ever felt certain that doom and destruction were imminent, then what you are about to read will help you.

3030 Joyce MeyersBeginning March 1, I joined Joyce Meyer’s 3030 Bible Challenge. One hundred fifty minutes later, I can now quote to you in forty-five seconds or less the entire first eight verses of Psalm 91. For five nights, I spent only thirty  minutes working at memorizing, reviewing, meditating, and picturing these verses. On the fourth and fifth nights the insights you are about to read came to me. The first half of the Psalm is now officially mine and my life is enriched. I invite you to join me, visit “my” Psalm and add your insights in the comments at the bottom of the page. Come with me to the secret place.

Psalm91-1Psalm 91: 1, 2 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High, “he” is that one who gets as close to God as he can possibly get, clinging and cleaving to Him, holding on tight, and staying there where he is safe.  He is abiding under the shadow of the almighty, whispering, “You are my refuge, my fortress, my God, in You will I trust. I’m clinging tightly because I trust you. Being this close to you, I can hear only You. No longer do I hear the negative voices from the enemy, only Your voice, Your voice of freedom and truth, guidance, wisdom, joy, peace, love.”

Psalm 91-3Psalm 91: 3 Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. “You, O Lord, will deliver me from every evil imaginable. As I stay close to you, You will strengthen me and equip me and pour Your love through me. Perfect love casts out fear and being close to you is what protects me from evil. I am able to overcome evil with good because You strengthen me, and you show me the way.”

feathers1Psalm 91:4 “You cover me with your feathers and  under your wings I trust. “I can’t see anything or anyone but You; I’m under your wings . I’m trusting You to guide me and show me the way, and tell me everything I need to know. I’ll just wait right here and if we go anywhere, we go together. I’m staying right here.”

Your truth is my shield and buckler. “Knowing and believing what You say about something is what protects me and deflects the arrows and swords of the enemy. It keeps me safe from spiraling downward with negative thinking and wrong beliefs.”

Psalm 91Psalm 91: 5-8  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

And He says to me, “You don’t have to be afraid of anything at all. Even if you see or hear of evil things going on, even if it seems like it is getting very close to you, do not fear. It will not come near enough to hurt you. You will see how evil falls upon the wicked, but I will keep you safe, because You stay close to me and trust in me. Have no fear because I am your refuge and your fortress, your God, in Whom you trust. I will not let you down. I will not fail you nor forsake you.”

Looking forward to Psalm 91:9-16

Have a wonderful day,  and let’s see how close we can get to our Father who promises us His love and protection.
